Franjo Tudjman International Airport is hoping to increase the number of long haul flights direct to Zagreb. Airport officials specifically are hoping for direct flights to and from South Korea and China where the tourism and hospitality industry have seen exponential growth. The airport continues to work on a direct to and from the United States similar to the June 2016 launch of a New York-Belgrade flight. Airlines and passengers have complained about high landing fees, lack of bathrooms and check in desks even as tourism numbers continue to grow. (Translated from Jutarnji)
