“Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after the session of the National Security Council after the arrest of Marko Djuric in Kosovska Mitrovica, everyone who participated in his abduction would answer. Serbia will not allow anyone to expel the people of Kosmet (Kosovo and Metohija) from their homes, the president said.

In his address to the media following the session of the National Security Council, Aleksandar Vucic pointed out that it was a brutal provocation, an act of foolishness and the most serious criminal act carried out by Pristina authorities, obviously supported by certain countries.

He stressed that all those who participated in Djuric’s abduction would be answerable to the Serbian authorities, and among them the two Serbs who assisted in that. He stated that more serious crimes were committed and that he expected the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime to take ‘everything that needs to be done.’

As he said, all day we listened from the EU that both sides were calling for restraint, and he asked the citizens of Serbia: ‘And, what did we do and whether we humiliated or were beaten by our journalists and the man who is the main negotiator in the Brussels Dialogue?’

Vucic said that the essence of what happened today was that terrorists dressed in police uniforms were hoping for a peaceful set of Serb citizens within the internal dialogue on the Kosovo problem, and tried to show that they were able to take the north Serbian province.

‘With EULEX’s direct support,’ he noted, because special forces vehicles were accompanied by EULEX vehicles.” (translated from RTS)
