“UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres held talks today with President Aleksandar Vucic in New York andexpressed support for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, RTS reported.
Vucic said that it is important to respect UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Guterres expressed support for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and said that all problems should be resolved peacefully.
The office of the Serbian president announced that Vucic and Guterres discussed the situation in the region and the current state of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
Vucic will soon inform the public in Serbia about the content of this and all other talks he had in New York, the statement said.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said tonight that it seems to him that the Western powers are firmly upholding the principle of preserving Kosovo’s independence, adding that this is very difficult for Serbia.
‘I am not satisfied. I had deep conversations with people who are deciding many things from the various capitals of the West and I think they stand firm, respecting the principle of preserving Kosovo’s independence, and this is very difficult for us,’ Vucic told RTS.” (translated from Novi Magazin)
