“Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is on three-day visit to China during which he expects to finalise a number of deals with Chinese companies and banks.
Vucic and his delegation are taking part in a global economic forum and is scheduled to meet with China’s president Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang. He told reporters travelling with him that he would have some strange requests for his Chinese counterpart.
‘First, I will do something, I can’t tell you how, to secure a visit by the Chinese president to Serbia. Once he comes to Serbia there will be no other problems. And I have another idea – I want innovative technology to give Serbia a comparative advantage over many countries in the region and Europe. I will have some strange requests for President Xi, I hope he won’t laugh at me and will understand what I want for Serbia,’ Vucic said.” (N1)
