“A Henderson company vehicle, carrying a large amount of Serbian dinars was robbed today at 11:00hrs in Leposavic. An abandoned vehicle was found, suspected to have been used, with possibly up to three more cars, with some money left behind and a driver’s licence in it. The identity of one of the suspects is also known. Police units from north and south of Mitrovica along with the Kosovo Police HQ are included in an intensive search and the investigation.

According to the preliminary police information, about 18,000,000 RSD ($177,194.94) was suspected to have been taken from the Henderson vehicle. The Deputy Police Commander of the northern region Besim Hoti could not, however, confirm the exact amount as well as the origin of the looted money, due to the early stage of the ongoing investigation.

‘One vehicle, suspected of being used during the robbery was found in the village of Meljenica, located in a municipality in south Kosovo. A piece of a firearm, a certain amount of money and a driver’s license that was assumed to belong to the owner of the vehicle or the driver, were found as well. We believe, at this stage, that the robbers were waited on by another vehicle – an Opel Zafira, and left in the direction of Podujevo,’ Hoti shared the latest information with KoSSev.” (KosSev)
