“The United States has pledged another 22 million Dollars in aid to improve competitiveness, the rule of law, media environment and the fight against corruption in Serbia.

Serbia’s Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and US Ambassador in Belgrade Kyle Scott signed two agreements on the aid on Tuesday.

Joksimovic told the media that the money is not coming in the form of a loan and is linked to specific project across the country, including the development of SMEs and promoting local development. Political relations between Belgrade and Washington have seen their ups and downs but the United States has been helping the reforms in Serbia through development cooperation for years and is one of Serbia’s most important partners on its path to the European Union, the minister said.” (N1)
