“Analysts from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) will be visiting Macedonia in order to conduct fieldwork related to GAO’s review of U.S. democracy assistance to Macedonia, announced the US Embassy in Macedonia.

“GAO is conducting this work at the request of Representative Chris Smith, Chairman, Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations, Committee on Foreign Affairs, and six of his colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives,” states the press release.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office plans to issue a report in late spring or early summer 2018 and it is expected to be publicly available at that time.

Otherwise, at the start of this year, Congressman Chris Smith accused USAID and the Soros Foundation, that they are spending funds from the donations that are paid by US citizens for financing former communist, lefty and liberal organizations and parties in Europe and Macedonia.” (Meta.mk, US Embassy in MAK Press Release)
