“Kosovo is a state and applies discriminatory policies to have one tax rate in one part of the country, and in the other part of the country, which is certainly not right, said US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott.
The issue was addressed after the proposal by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to stay in Kosovo in the north of Kosovo for goods from central Serbia, and that in Kosovo’s southern Albania, customs will be abolished. He said that at that moment he had not yet heard Rama’s statement and that he could not comment further.
‘What applies to Albanian citizens of Kosovo must also apply to the Serb, Bosniak and Gorani population, so that all people living there will have equal rights. I believe that Kosovo should be a multi-ethnic, democratic state, so that everything that relates to citizens of Kosovo of one ethnicity must also apply to citizens of another nationality,’ says Scott.” (translated from VoA)
