Kosovo President Hashim Thaci delivered a copy of the Declaration of Independence to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. today. Those in his company included Kosovo Foreign Minister Begjhet Pacolli and long-time supporter of Kosovo, Congressman Eliot Engels (D-NY).
Thaci wrote on Facebook for the occassion:
“For the tenth anniversary of independence, today I handed a copy of the declaration of independence to the Library of Congress.
Along with many important world documents, Kosovo’s Declaration of Independence will be preserved forever in the country and the state, which yesterday supported the birth, and until today preserves the existence of this statement and our state.
We are blessed with eternal friendship with the people and the American State.” (translated from Facebook)
