“Today, the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations unanimously approved the nominations of eight ambassadors, including Lynda Blanchard who is the White House nominee for US Ambassador to Slovenia. Nominations must be confirmed by the entire Senate.

The candidate for the new US Ambassador to Slovenia is entrepreneur and humanitarian activist Lynda Blanchard. She was first  to members of the International Relations Committee in mid-August, and the hearing went smoothly.

For now, it is not yet known when Blanchard will receive the green light of the Senate, but this will probably happen quickly and almost certainly without a vote unanimously, as it is not a controversial appointment.” (translated from Sio1)
