“AmCham Slovenia would like to see the Slovenian Competition Protection Agency (AVK) decide as soon as possible whether to approve the takeover of Pro Plus, the owner of Slovenia’s most popular commercial TV stations POP TV and Kanal A, by the US media company United Group.

The US chamber of commerce in Slovenia noted in a press release on Friday that it had welcomed yesterday’s media reports about the AVK approving the takeover after several months of deliberation.

It was a negative surprise to learn later in the day that the watchdog actually has not made its final decision yet, AmCham Slovenia added.” (Slovenia Times)

“The willingness of the Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) to participate in the war is inadequate, and for peace in the world is good, the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Defense Forces Borut Pahor said today (Friday). For the readiness to act in peace, the army received a higher rating than last year’s report, partly due to increased investment in the army.

The report on the readiness of the army last year was handed over to Pahor today by Defense Minister Andrej Katic and the head of the General Staff of the Slovenian Army Alan Geder.

Pahor said at the press conference after surrender that ‘this year’s report for the shade is better, but these feelings should be careful.'” (translated from Sio1)
