“(Slovenian) Prime Minister Miro Cerar said that the four representatives of the central state institutions, including the president, National Assembly, and National Council, agreed to continue with preparations for the government to enforce the arbitration agreement, after a working meeting (today).
‘We evaluated that we are on the right path and all of the actions of the government are going in the right direction,’ said the prime minister after the meeting. He stressed that Slovenia, despite the fact that Croatia still refuses to acknowledge the award of the arbitral tribunal, shall continue the preparations for its implementation.
Cerar presents the details of his recent visit to Zagreb, where he met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic at the second meeting of today’s participants in a month. ‘I told them that I am in talks and consistently insist that we should agree on the implementation of the arbitration decision; Slovenia should not deviate from the decision.’ The meeting was also attended by (Slovenian) Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec.
The Prime Minister confirmed that Slovenia will enforce an arbitral award began a day later, on Saturday, 30 December . Then it will be ‘activated legislation, which we have already taken,’ he said.” (translated from Delo)
