“UN members will meet in Marrakesh, Morocco on Monday and Tuesday to adopt a global agreement on migrations which has divided the European and Slovenian public. Slovenia will endorse it. Its delegation at the inter-governmental conference will be led by Interior Ministry State Secretary Sandi Čurin.

Although not a treaty, the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is the first inter-governmental document in which the international community addresses migrations.

It was endorsed in July by all 193 UN members except the US, which pulled out of negotiations last December.” (Slovenia Times)
