“Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic told the Director General for Political Affairs at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Richard Moore on Tuesday that Belgrade was open to a compromise with Kosovo but was not ready for a humiliating solution.

In the meeting in Belgrade Vucic and Moore discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the region, a statement from the presidential office said.

Moore said that the UK organisation of the forthcoming European Union Summit showed that Britain was still interested in the Western Balkans and its future regardless of London’s departure from the block.

Vucic thanked Moore for the UK’s support to Serbia’s European integration and London’s commitment to the Berlin Process, a part of which would be the Summit on July 10.” (N1)
