“Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Macedonia, Oleg Shcherbak. Shcherbak gave support for for a vigorous policy to move Macedonia forward. They announced they were going to promote economic and cultural cooperations, government information services have said.

Zaev and Ambassador Shcherbak concluded that the Euro-Atlantic aspirations and the determination of the Republic of Macedonia (to enter NATO/EU) are not and should not be an obstacle for development of bilateral relations between Macedonia and Russia, especially since both states share an attitude of sustainable security in the world, which is of international importance.” (translated from Nova Makedonija)
