“Members of the Coalition Together for the Inclusion of Roma and Egyptians in Montenegro submitted to the Parliament an initiative to amend the Law on the election of councilors and deputies, whose goal is to open the possibility for the Roma National Community to get a chance for political representation in parliament.

The initiative was signed by Samir Jaha from the NGO ‘Youth Roma,’ Milan Radovic from the Civic Alliance, Dragan Koprivica from the Center for Democratic Transition, Elvis Berisha from NGO Phiren Amenca and Fana Delija from the Center for Roma Initiatives.

‘We are in the initiative to initiate the amendment of the Law on the election of councilors and deputies in order to open the possibility for the Roma national community, according to the reputation of the representatives of the Croatian people in Montenegro, to have a chance for political representation in the Assembly,’ the initiative said.” (translated from Vijesti)
