Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev arrived in Belgrade today for an official visit to the Republic of Serbia. He met with President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, and Vuk Jeremic, and the National Council of Macedonians in Serbia on Monday. The meetings with Vucic, Brnabic, and Jeremic stressed cooperation and security issues, economic and social welfare, and regional initiatives.
“At the request of the National Council of the Macedonian National Communities (NSMNZ) in the Republic of Serbia, the Government provided books and literature in the Macedonian language for students in primary schools in Serbia, which study the subject ‘Macedonian language with elements of national culture.’
These books and additional literature will be of particular importance for this course. The majority of students in the course are a members of the Macedonian national minority, but Serbians and other nationalities in Serbia have shown interest.” (translated from Government of Macedonia)
