“The ‘Protest’ organisation staged a march on state institutions on Wednesday in Kosovo’s capital demanding the resignations of the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the state prosecutor Alexander Lumezi, the Beta news agency reported.

Some 1,000 people gathered for the protest which the organisers said was needed because ‘the judiciary is in the service of politics.’

The police empowered the security outside the state prosecutor’s office, while some opposition MPs joined the protest.

The protesters carried banners reading ‘Go, Lumezi,’ ‘No state without independent judiciary,’ ‘(Agim) Çeku – from a hero to zero,’ and alike.” (N1)
