“The Basic Court in Pristina has issued an arrest warrant for the the opposition Vetevendosje MPs, Albin Kurti and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi after they did not show up for their trial today.

The presiding judge of this case, Beqir Kalludra said that the defendants have not justified their absence at the courtroom. ‘The Court has issued an arrest warrant for the accused Albin Kurti and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, and according to the information they were not found at their permanent addresses. Considering that they failed to appear at the courtroom the Court issues arrest warrant,’ the judge said.

Because of the absence of the accused the court hearing was postponed for indefinite period of time. The Vetevendosje MPs are accused of releasing teargas in the Assembly chamber during the opposition protest in Assembly refusing ratification of the Agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro and establishment of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities.” (Gazeta Express)
