The White House says VP Mike Pence has encouraged Kosovo to ratify a border-demarcation deal with Montenegro.
Pence met with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci in Washington on September 29, two days after Kosovo’s new prime minister said the Balkan state had no deadline for resolving the border standoff. The European Union insists Pristina must resolve this border standoff before its citizens can travel visa-free within the Schengen zone. This continues a summer of involvement by VP Pence including hosting Montenegrin PM Markovic in June and making a historic visit to Podgorica in August. (Radio Free Europe)
