Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met today with departing Rapporteur for Kosovo Ulrike Lunacek and incoming Rapporteur Igor Soltes from Slovenia. Thaci thanked Lunacek for her service to Kosovo stating, “You have been Kosovo’s voice in Brussels and of Brussels in Kosovo. A sincere and constructive voice.” New rapporteur Soltes has been a Member of the European parliament since 2014 and is a Vice-Chair of the Delegation to the EU-Serbia Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee.
