“Strengthening parliamentary cooperation represents a unique way to establish closer political and economic relations between Montenegro and Ukraine, stressed the President of the Group of Friendship of Ukraine and Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Genci Nimanbegu.

As announced by the Parliament, Nimanbegu today met with the Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Montenegro Natalia Fialka.

‘The President of the Friendship Group met Mrs. Fialka, talked about the current political situation, and reminded them that Montenegro has recently become a full member of the NATO alliance. Our country is committed to achieving another other key strategic goal, which is membership in the European Union. Fialka said that shares the view of the host of the importance of cooperation at the parliamentary level,’ the statement said.

Fialka stated that Montenegro and Ukraine him friendly relations and have no open issues, and therefore there is interest in further improving relations in many fields.

‘Sagovorni agreed that it is important to further work on the establishment of even better economic and commercial ties between the two countries, especially when it comes to cooperation in the fields of tourism and agriculture, in the coming period.
