“US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Wess Mitchell is in Belgrade, as part of her first visit to the region since assuming office.
Mitchell will meet with Prime Minister Anna Brnabić and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during the day.
The key topics of his talks with Serbian officials are, as announced, regional stability, European integration of Serbia and the continuation of the Brussels Dialogue.
Mitchell arrived in Belgrade yesterday afternoon and his first interlocutor was Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
According to him, Mitchell pointed out that the United States considers Serbia one of the most important countries in the region and the backbone of stability in the Balkans.
‘The United States continuously supports the European path of Serbia and achieves progress within the Brussels Dialogue,’ Mitchell said.” (translated from Danas)
