“‘What does not connect us is the common future of our citizens, the region and the world. And does connect us is the need for stability, security, and economic benefits for our citizens and our countries,’ said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in Mostar where he traveled to the traditional manifestation ‘Mostar Peace Connection’ this afternoon.

Before the start of the event, the Macedonian Prime Minister held informal talks with the hosts – representatives of the Center for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdic, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic. Zaev laid flowers in the Neretva river with them, in a sign of peace and drink to the victims of all wars.

In a statement to the media, he emphasized the brave leadership of all prime ministers from the region who build the future on the foundations of the past. Moreover, according to the government press service, Zaev congratulated Tsipras and Markovic for the award ‘Mostar Charter of Peace,’ whose laureate was last year.” (translated from Nova Makedonija)
