“Serbia and Kosovo are ‘in the final stages’ of their talks, says Kosovar President Hashim Thaçi. There should be border shifts, but no division.
STANDARD: What do you expect from the appearance of President Vučić in northern Kosovo?
Thaçi: Kosovo will not be divided, and there will be no territorial exchange. And I have not heard anything yet that he will suggest something in this direction. Kosovo will preserve the multi-ethnic spirit. But we have to work to resolve the animosities that have existed for 200 years. We should not be hostages of the borders established during Tito’s Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia does not exist anymore. Kosovo has good neighborly relations with all its neighbors, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania. Therefore, nobody should feel threatened by a possible agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.” (Full interview available at Der Standard)
