“Kosovo officials have renewed efforts to implement the agreement reached with Serbia on setting up the Association of Serb-majority municipalities.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and President Hashim Thaci have reactivated on Wednesday the managerial team tasked to draft the statute of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, the Government of Kosovo announced. ‘Drafting of the statute will be transparent and inclusive, and will be consisted of three working mechanisms: The Managerial Team, Implementing Committee, and National Consultative Group, who will guarantee inclusion of all political parties, civil society and other relevant mechanisms,’ it is stated in a press release issued by the Government of Kosovo.

According to the press release in this process will be involved also international mechanisms, who have helped Kosovo in all phases. The Government called the recommence of work on Association as an important step towards Euro-Atlantic integrations. Kosovo President Hashim Thaci established last month a working group which will cooperate with the Management Team and the OSCE Mission in Kosovo on the drafting of the Statute of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities.” (Gazeta Express)
