“Kosovo’s finance ministry said on Monday it signed a 12.95 million euro ($15.2 million) loan agreement with the German government to support various project in Kosovo in 2017.

The loan will be used to support youth employment focusing on the reintegration of deported asylum seekers, primary education, waste management and to promote competition in the private sector in rural areas, the finance ministry said in a press release.

Germany has always supported Kosovo with financial investment in infrastructure through the German development bank KfW, as well as with technical assistance through the German society for international cooperation (GIZ), German ambassador to Kosovo, Christian Heldt, said at a joint news conference with Kosovo’s finance minister Bedri Hamza.” (See News)
