Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, received on Tuesday the European Parliament Rapporteur on Kosovo, Igor Soltes. The main topic of their discussion was visa liberalization, according to Haradinaj’s press service.

‘The progress of Kosovo institutions, especially in the rule of law area, is apparent and should be taken into account by decision makers, in order for Kosovo citizens to move freely without visas in the EU,’ Haradinaj said in a press release release of the Kosovo Government.” (Gazeta Express)

“Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, received European Parliament Rapporteur for Kosovo, Igor Soltes today.

She has discussed visa liberalization and the fulfillment of the criteria for this important issue for the citizens of Kosovo, the ministry announces.

Minister Hoxha stressed that all conditions for visa liberalization have been met.

‘In June we expect strong signals for the full implementation of these conditions so that the process of visa liberalization can go further.’

‘We are aware that the fight against organized crime and corruption is not related to deadlines, therefore, we consider that even after the abolition of the visa regime for Kosovo, local institutions will not stop fighting these phenomena,’ said Minister Hoxha , adding that Kosovo citizens expect Kosovo’s progress to be assessed by European Union institutions.” (translated from Lajme)
