US Ambassador to Pristina, Greg Delawie, on the occasion of ending his mandate, has urged Kosovar politicians to stay out of court proceedings, saying that obstacles in these areas could be a major problem for the future of Kosovo.

In a farewell reception organized by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli, the US diplomat said he is leaving Kosovo with mixed feelings but expects to hear good news about Kosovo in the future.

‘I have to say that I have mixed feelings. I’m glad to have come to Kosovo, but I’m sorry I’m leaving Kosovo … Politicians stay out of court proceedings. Obstacles in these areas can be a major problem for Kosovo’s future … March’s adoption of border demarcation was an important victory for Kosovo and Prime Minister, although we disagreed about some things, we know we have worked hard on this difficult matter. Kosovo needs a lot of spirit of cooperation and encourages you to work together to find common things,’ said Delawie.” (translated from RTK)
