“Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan‘s meeting with BiH Presidency Member Bakir Izetbegovic and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, as we learned from reliable sources, was extremely fruitful. Namely, the proposals to build both offered routes between Sarajevo and Belgrade were accepted.
The key topic of the meeting was an infrastructure project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which Turkey is also participating, with the main topic being the construction of the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway, for which the construction of ideas has been going on for a year with different potential routes being discussed.
Serbia has said even earlier that it would accept any route and would be decided on in BiH. There are two routes in our country. The first is the one that would connect Sarajevo and Belgrade via Tuzla and Bijeljina, which is supported by the FBiH, but also by a part of the Republika Srpska parties.
The second route, the one that would connect the main cities of BiH and Serbia through Visegrad, in eastern Bosnia and continued through Vardište to the Serbian highway, is supported by the authorities in the RS entity.” (translated from Klix)
