“Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic opened the Montenegrin Consulate in Georgia today, headquartered in Tbilisi, headed by Tejmuraz Kurkhuli.
As reported from the ministry, Darmanovic was on his first official visit to Georgia at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze.
Darmanovic said he was convinced that the opening of the Consulate in Tbilisi would contribute to enhancing the overall co-operation of the two states.
He noted that visiting Georgia was particularly significant in the context of the further strengthening of traditionally friendly relations and the advancement of the political dialogue between the two states.
‘Montenegro, as a full member of the Alliance, advocates the continuation of the implementation of NATO’s open door policy and, in this respect, supports the aspirations of Georgia,’ said Montenegro’s foreign minister.” (translated from Vijesti)
