“Defense Minister – and Deputy Prime Minister – Damir Krstičević is in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, for his official induction ceremony into the U.S. Army War College hall of fame.

The U.S. Army War College is of one of the oldest and most prestigious military colleges in the United States. The elite institution, established in 1901, chose to induct Minister Krstičević as part of their inductees of International Fellows.

Minister Krstičević commented on the honour from the United States: ‘This is recognition for me personally, the Croatian armed forces, and the Republic of Croatia. 20 years ago I was given the honour as the first Croatian officer to attend the U.S. Army War College. The United States is Croatia’s partner, advisor, and key ally in the areas of security and defense. I learned alot during my time at the college, especially in the areas of strategic planning, team building, and critical thinking. That knowledge helped me tremendously during my career in the military and has served me well now in my role as the Minister of Defense.'”
