“Following a meeting at the government offices last night, President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković confirmed that the Defence Council accepted the opinion of the expert team and that the most favorable offer for a multi-purpose fighter plane came from Israel. Used F-16 Barak fighter planes are in question.

‘I believe that a responsible decision is being made that will guarantee the capability of the Croatian air force for more than the next 30 years,’ said Prime Minister Andrej Plenković after the session at which all four offers were discussed that were presented by the expert committee for development of recommendations and analysis of offers.

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović noted that the decision was adopted unanimously, after all elements were considered, from financial aspects to Croatia’s needs, taking into account national interests, needs, opportunities and in the same manner the overall state of affairs in Croatia.” (Voice of Croatia)
