“Interior Minister Davor Božinović said the government would implement a decision made back in May, 2014, to erect roadblocks for vehicle traffic along border routes with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

The government said the move was meant to stem the flow of illegal border crossings, improve of border control and surveilance, and suppress of all forms of smuggling.

‘It has been determined that we need additional means of protection and prevention at thirteen locations along our international border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. These measures may include large concrete blocks or man-made canals which would prevent vehicles from crossing,’ said the minister.” (Voice of Croatia)
