“The Bulgarian government approved a memorandum for the creation of an executive council for the Alpine-West Balkan rail freight corridor, part of the European rail network for competitive freight, the government press office said. The newly created corridor on the territory of Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria aims to improve connectivity and commodity exchange with the Western Balkan countries. In March 2018, the European Commission decided to set up the corridor which should start operation within two years.” (FOCUS)
