“Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, began a visit to New York with a meeting with Senator Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the Subcommittee on Europe (of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations), the government announced in Belgrade tonight.
Speaking to Johnson, Brnabić said she would use the US visit and participate in the general debate at the General Assembly of the UN to present in the talks with world leaders what Serbia did in political and economic reforms, according to a statement released by Beta.
Senator Johnson, who was in Belgrade at the beginning of September, ’emphasized that President Alexander Vucic was given a message that the United States is a friend of Serbia and the Serbian people,’ the statement said.
The government also reports that Johnson told AnA Brnabic that ‘the United States wants to help find a solution for Kosovo and Metohija and encourage the continuation of the dialogue of the two sides.'” (translated from Politika)
