“Croatia’s Prime Minister wrapped up his two day working visit to Germany on Tuesday night with a lecture at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and a meeting with the country’s Federal Minister of Economy and Energy in Berlin.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković‘s lecture at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation focused on the topic of Croatia and the future of the European Union. In his speech he vigorously defended the EU’s core values and presented Croatia’s top priorities during its presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2020.

Addressing the chamber in fluent German, Plenković noted that the European Union must be able to meet the expectations of its citizens, and to assert itself more confidently on the international scene while not straying from the values ​​on which it is based: freedom, democracy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights.” (Voice of Croatia)
