“Montenegrin Prime Minister Duško Marković said in Pristina tonight (February 14) that he is honored to be the first Montenegrin Prime Minister to visit Kosovo and added that Montenegro wants to promote good neighborly relations for the benefit of both countries.

Markovic arrived in Pristina this afternoon for a two-day official visit to Kosovo at the invitation of Kosovar Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

Haradinaj assessed at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Markovic that relations with Montenegro are excellent.

‘This is a visit that shows that the peoples of Montenegro and Kosovo are not just neighbors, but people who love and want to progress in the Euro-Atlantic perspective,’ the Kosovo Prime Minister said.

Markovic said that he was honored in Pristina and on behalf of the Government of Montenegro to confirm the strong friendship between the two countries.

‘We want to improve good relations in favor of the citizens of Montenegro and Kosovo, we want to support Kosovo on the Euro-Atlantic path. We want good economic cooperation and we want to share our experience with you,’ Markovic said, reports the TVCG reporter from Pristina.” (translated from RTCG)
